Spring: Boy's and Girl's Outdoor Track & Field
Boy's and Girl's Outdoor Track & Field compete in the ECC Medium Division. Outdoor Track is ran on a 400 meter track. Running events include:
Relays - 4x100m, 4x400m, 4x800m, Sprint Medley Race* (SMR- 1,1,2,4)
Open Track - 100m Dash, 100/110m Hurdles, 300m Hurdles, 400m, 800m, 1600m, 3200m
Field - Shot put, discus, Javelin, High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Pole Vault
THE RYAN FRENCH MEMORIAL AWARD
Ryan French dedicated his life to the sport of running. His commitment to excellence in Cross Country and Track was unmatched. Ryan was a not only hard working on the track but in the classroom as well. Ryan was an active member of his class being involved in FFA, as well as invested in the support group within his class. He was the definition of a student-athlete and a roll model for all. Ryan was suddenly taken from us in 2017.Â
This award goes to an individual who shows the same passion for Track and Field as Ryan did. The athlete is active in their school, a leader within the team, as well as helpful in the community.Â

COACH JOSH FORTIN
Head Coach
Coach Josh Fortin is in his third year as the Indoor Boy's and Girl's Head Coach and the Outdoor Boy's Head Coach here at KHS. Fortin is a Killingly High graduate from the class of 2010 where he played 4 years of football, basketball, and Track & FIeld. He then attended Worcester State University and played football while majoring in Health Education. Fortin is currently teaching at Killingly Intermediate School as well as coaching KHS Varsity Football in the Fall. He continues to grow as a coach and focuses an the long jump, triple jump, and high jump, pole vault, and hurdles.

Coach Zenowitz has dedicated 109 years to Killingly High School Track & Field. His determination to help KHS athletes is always impressive. Coach Zen is a very helpful and caring individual who helps both Indoor and Outdoor Track. Coach Zenowitz focuses on sprints and distance.

Together We Can Accomplish Anything
The Leadership Council is a way to get more athletes into leadership roles with more responsibilities. Each member has their own group of athletes that they lead for various team activities such as Team Building Tuesdays, Competition Wednesdays, as well as off-season workouts and in-season responsibilities.Â
